Using the travel feature in cities can quickly teleport you to previous cities you've explored, and most of the time they will offer some sort of sidequest (depending on where you're at in the story). Some NPCs you come across may have blue speech bubbles above their heads-this is an optional sidequest, and you should do as many of these as you can. Once unlocked, try to use these as much as you possibly can, especially if you find yourself unable to spend time grinding as much as you'd like due to real-life obligations.
